Artist History
Leon Dobrowolsky and Terry Robin Prill were very
unlikely partners with their musical directions
headed down different paths. During their
"formative" years they both pursued their
aspirations in different local bands with formats
at opposite ends of the spectrum. It was a mutual
friend who finally saw the value in bringing them
together. He came to appreciate each of their
individual talents and saw the potential in
combining the two. During numerous jam sessions
both Leon and Terry came to respect what the other
one brought to the table. Leon's chording
techniques on the guitar challenged the
conventional and Terry's mixed bag of songwriting
ability caught many a listener unaware that it was
original material being presented. So when they
decided to join forces in the early 70s the only
thing left to complete their unique style of play
was the harmonizing of their 12 and 6 string
guitars as a finishing touch. Their music inspired
one to sit, listen, and appreciate. Even when they
covered material from the likes of Neil Young and
Bob Dylan they still managed to put their own spin
on it. They worked together into the 80s and
developed an acoustic sound that they could truly
call their own. This sampling of material
represents only the tip of the iceberg of the work
that actually made it to tape and stands as the
legacy left behind. With a reunion in 2001 the two
decided to reopen the books and collaborate on a
number of new tracks, proving that even though
they are now separated by many miles, their
interpretation of material has only gained
strength over the 20 years in between.
