Artist History Biography Reddevil has been shaping and djing the sound of the broken beat and housenothouse sound for several years. He started his Dj career at the age of 15 while maintaining a radio show on KRVM88.9fm Eugene, Or. Mostly influence by early hardcore hip-hop (i.e. Public Enemy, BDP& Biz Markie)and industrial/punk rock (Skinny Puppy, Ministry, NoFX) in the 80's and then onto techno in the 90's (Orbital, Jeff Mills, Black Dog). Reddevil aka Harp (D&B guise) has been known for starting the D&B/ trip-hop scene in Portland,Or. He has been involved with many promoters within the Pacific Northwest. To name a few gigs:Funkungfusion (Ninja Tune)1998, NxNw Music Festival Mainstage w/ Original P (members of Parliment/Pfunk inc. George Clinton), Promoter/resident at 'Absolut Jungle'(Portland's first weekly d&b club night)& Program director of Subterradio88.7fm (Portland's first Pirate radio). He recently moved to Southern California about four years ago and has been quite influentual with the Brokenbeat/2-step scene, stemed from Detroit techno, rare groove and UK production technics. Current work has been focused on production of original materials under the guise of Diablorojo(brokenbeat/2-step). Several gigs for Reddevil are in the works and will be posted in the Gigs sections. Reddevil has been guest DJing with two radio shows on KUCI88.9fm Irvine, CA which broadcasts Thursday's 10pm-12am and Friday night 8pm-12am on the net at www.kuci.org.
