Artist description
Mix vintage keyboard and guitar tones with great songwriting, and you have "Unravel This", the debut album by Portland native Bob Gerig. From the opening track "It Never Gets Easier", to the closing piano ballad "Going Away", the listener gets a great sense for Bob's 60's-70's rock influence. Influences like The Beatles, Beach Boys, and Neil Young to name a few. When asked about the musical and lyrical approach in his songs, Bob explains, "This record was a vehicle for me to communicate the struggles I was facing at that exact point in my life. My lyrics come from an honest place as I look at my life and measure it against truth". The result is an impressive debut that packs infectious melodies with musical twists that will keep you wanting more.
