    Artist History
Jake and I met in Hermiston, Oregon in 1988. Skateboarding brought us together and we became good friends. I had to move back to California where I eventually lost touch of my old pals. Around 1994 we reunited and low and behold, "You play guitar? I play bass. We should jam sometime." Even though we were self-taught and could barely tune our instruments, we knew we had something that couldn't be ignored. It wasn't until 1996 that we both ended up moving to Portland. I was too busy to be in a band but Jake hooked up with singer/guitarist Damian Renon and drummer Jason Hillard to form 12 Gauge Gods. Later Dustin from Carson, Washington joined that band on guitar and that's how we met our future drummer. When I finished school I played keyboard with them and soon after, Eric Rabe brought his Saxophone to the group. Eventually that project ran its course and broke up. In 2000, once Jake, Dustin and I found a drum set and a house with a garage, we went to work. We used the name Jadien for a while until my side project with Dustin and Jason "Miracle Enemy" ended. We opted to use that name instead and here we are. We'll play anywhere, anytime, with anyone. So check us out for something abstract and original. -Nicholas 2002

    Press Reviews
Miracle Enemy is a strangely named Rose City experimental 'post-rock' outfit with a penchant for shifting rythms, chorus effects on the guitars and a vocal delivery miraculously channeled from Les Claypool. (DC - Willamette Week)
