Artist description
Esovae is raising the bar on original music by blending modern themes with dynamic musicianship. Catchy melodies and lush imagery collide to create a wall of sound unparalleled by most any other group. Their innovative style leaves the listener with an experience only Esovae can supply. Esovae collaborates to provide an intelligent yet accessible form of music for the mainstream audience.
Esovae's four-song demo Painted is the most current representation of their musical style. Painted follows a previous 3-song CD, created by a strong demand resulting from live performances and radio interviews. The band's popularity has gained increasing momentum, garnering the respect of critics along the way. Esovae has been one of Denver's premier artistic forces. Captivating music, commitment to success, and a passion for their craft make Esovae a band that defies boundaries.

Press Reviews
LIVE PERFORMANCE -Cruefest 2003 - 7/12/03
Lead by rock siren Marilyn Taylor their music not only filled listener’s heads, but made them spill over with melodic relish. For 40 minutes, everyone in the Whisky was held in a trance by their sultry music exploding with rich colors and raw emotion. Bubble gum pink song “Wake” satisfied our sweet tooth; Marilyn’s voice floating over the crowd like a lullaby only to delightfully burst into it’s catchy chorus. Another song, “Rules” allowed a view into the quartet’s darker side. Fierce lyrics showed real self awareness while ample riffs from guitarist Brett Walston added a touch of giddy wickedness. Marilyn’s long blonde hair swirled to the steady beat provided by drummer Bill Travis, while her hips rocked to the strong bass line of Scott Dankel. Her voice touched on the likes of Monique Powell, Lita Ford, and Kay Hanley but never settled long enough to put your finger on it. They were a little pop, a little metal; all rolled into one and tied together with good old fashioned rock n’ roll.
