Artist description
We're a progressive rock group (whatever THAT means), and we try to keep our minds open...Rush are my musical heroes certainly, but my influences range from Miles Davis to Smashing Pumpkins to Beethoven, and all of that creeps into my music somehow or another. I feel that we work well together, because James has an exquisite ear for interesting melodies and structure, and my playing is more technical (or coloquially, bombastic) and indisciplined, and I have a bit of trouble coming up with a *good song*. In either case, I think we're stronger musicians for it.

Artist History
In late December 2001, James put out a request over a wonderful Rush fan site that he wanted musicians--specifically guitarists--to collaborate with via the internet. At the time I really desired to take a shot at recording/production, and this of course was the only way we could play together short of mailing each other tapes--I live in California, he lives in Montreal. I was the first to send a response, so we spent a couple of days trading demos of our 'godlike chops'. After a few weeks of 'testing the waters' or what-have-you, we tried writing songs for each other to play over/flesh out, and that's more or less what we've been doing since. |
