Artist History Brandon grew up in a small town outside of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma called Midwest City. Soon after receiving a two and a half octave Casio keyboard for Christmas when he was thirteen, he began to display his rapidly expanding talent. He graduated to a larger keyboard, and then eventually to a full-sized piano. At the age of eighteen, Brandon moved out onto his own, to Austin, Texas. He had already begun composing his own music and playing publicly, sometimes for weddings, sometimes at restaurants and hotels. As his confidence grew, so did his repertoire. Admitting to himself that he was not a singer like his idols Billy Joel and Elton John, Brandon decided to focus on piano solos. With nary a lesson taken, he self-produced what was to be his first album, Midnight Story. The album consisted of ten piano solos with light orchestral background, also arranged by Brandon. He wanted to be careful not to let it become "elevator music", so he kept the focus on giving the piano his haunting melodies, and using the orchestra simply for color. The album also contained two vocal songs, for which Brandon used other singers of course, and the end result was a beautiful collection of romantic, relaxing music. Soon after that, Brandon met the love of his life, Marcie. An accomplished actress and director herself, she became an inspiration to him and also provided him many opportunities to display his talents. Brandon currently divides his time between teaching piano, performing in orchestra pits for musicals, composing his own music, and promoting his CD.
