Artist History During a regular summer afternoon of the new millennium, 13th Disciple witnessed a fateful event online that would drastically change the direction of his hip-hop career. Observing an intense Real Audio battle take place in the first Freestyling.com/ Audio Tournament, 13th Disciple was immediately impressed with the mixtape-style raps that made him smirk every now and then with the clever metaphors spat over raw beats. Trying out his hand in the form of text battles, 13th Disciple (then known as DaKilla In Manila) found his apparent calling to the emceeing artform. Rising to be a respected battler around the site, he found his own style of spitting battle raps with unique metaphors integrated within multi-syllabic rhymes Not too long afterwards, 13th Disciple jumped from a lowly text "rapper" to an authentic emcee by making the fateful leap to the realm of audio. Quickly coming across his unique niche in battle rapping, he soon evolved into someone who can make your head bob with ease due to his smooth, liquid-like flow. 13th Disciple will make you experience his belligerence over tracks thanks to his hostile delivery and the evident aggression in his voice. And with his witty wordplay, he has the ability to make you go "ooh" when you least expect it and impress you with a sharp metaphor every now and then. Honing his battle skills by making and accepting challenges from other emcees (and engaging in several rounds with his best friend as well as his worst rival, D23), 13th Disciple took a brief breather from the battle scene to focus more on soulful and emotional tracks. But he couldn't stay away for long; the urge to exploit the power of words in a hostile manner came back soon enough and 13th Disciple quickly returned to the lyrical arena. Getting his skills back up to par by tackling challengers in vigorous bouts of lyrics, 13th Disciple soon felt he was ready to participate in tournaments held in various online hip-hop forums. The time when he will largely dominate over the competition still has yet to come, but with his battle skills improving with each and every battle he undertakes, one isn't going to have to wait for long until this day arrives...
