Artist description
We play stripped down hardcore that's self-conciously weird and loud. We were more interested in experimentation and self-amusement than trying to "get anywhere". We also improvised, maybe a little too much. |

Artist History
We started rehearsing randomly in December of 2001. We played together 4 times, wrote 7 songs, and decided to make a record. We've started playing live, but due to practical reasons (ie. broken stuff), we can't play too much. *8/2/2002- the Bloodening is on 'hiatus' for the most part. Nothing is official yet, but it doesn't seem like the bandmembers are into it anymore. I guess being in a band that was destined to be criticized for every move it made (deciding not to tune, writing 'morbid' and 'inappropriate' lyrics, choosing not to have a bassist, etc.) lost its appeal. It sucks indeed, but honestly, this band had an expiration date from day 1. That's fine though because the little music we did leave behind is pretty good and doesn't fit into its time one bit. Therefore, I'll be archiving all of our recorded material soon (featuring a more 'audiophile' mix than the cd version). |
