Artist History
It all started when Kirby met Serra in like 10th
grade at a woods party and shared the same
interest in a band called Weezer. They started
to jam to covers like Weezer and Green Day then
they thought it would be cool to start a band.
They asked Chris Judson to play drums for them
then wrote a couple of songs and dubbed
themselves Override. Shortly after they broke
up and started writing alone again. Then Kirby
and Serra met Tyler Saraca (The coolest kid ever)
and they started a rock band called Seconds From
Nowhere which came from a high school friend named
Ryan Young. They then wrote songs and practiced
a ton and came out with a 7 song recording off
their 4-track which was a big hit in their
hometown. Their one problem was that they never
performed the songs on the E.P. live. They then
worked on new material that they would play live
and created a new 5 song demo and renamed
themselves The Blend. The Blend played many
shows and were together approximately a year.
When it was time for Brian to goto school and
Tyler to go off his own way as well They broke
up but Tyler and Mike continued to write songs
and recorded a 4 song E.P. under the alias Random.
When that summer was over and nothing had came of
that project everyone went their own ways shortly.
Then Kirby and Serra started playing and writing
again and recorded a genius song which they
decided would be the core sound of their new
band "RiverView". One day at Community college
Serra was talking to a friend that he used to
goto high school with and he asked him about the
Bass guitar. Coop was great at bass and decided
it would be cool to join Kirby and Serra's work
in progress and they formed a unit with the
equiptment and talent to acheive what they've
always wanted. A life touring on the road. |
