Artist History It started on a rainy day in Joel's basement. There sat the original members, Joel, Jamie, Chad, Darren, and Jason, bored out of their skulls in a small mountain town called Trail. They decided to give themselves something to do by starting a musical group called Gorge. None of the above had any musical background so instruments were picked at random. After many 12 hour jams the band finally had enough Nirvana covers down that they could play shows at the local highschool. A year or so past and Jamie, Joel, and Chad decided to part and form an original band. This is when the highly skilled guitarist, Eric, joined the band and the name was changed to Kid Apprehensive. After writing enough material to be called a set the band took to the road. Three western Canadian tours were completed and the band found themselves opening for international touring acts such as, Good Riddance, Death by Stereo, the Weakerthans, Gob, and others along those lines! Then the band decided to relocate to Edmonton, Alberta for reasons they are still not sure of. Another tour was completed and Eric split to Montreal to hunt French fox, he is always welcome back! The band has since been writing new material for their yet to be titled full length due out this summer!

Press Reviews KID APPREHENSIVE I'm starting to get a lot of respect for the Canadian punk scene I just got hold of this CD and there is a lot of potential here. They have a punk sound that is missing in a lot of upcoming bands these days, the song MAI will probably be on our comp as soon as I get more info on this band I'll let you know! FROM MAXIMUM ROCK & ROLL: San Francisco, USA KID APPREHENSIVE After hearing this bands five song demo I have to say that Canadian music is about to get much stronger! They show a lot of substance, which is missing in most of todays bands. Their sound is unique but could be compared to Good Riddance, Weezer and, at times AFI. These guys definitely know what’s up and will have good staying power. If you happen to get a chance to check these guys out make sure you do so!
