Artist History
David James Swift was born in Walsall, England on August 11th 1976. When starting out on guitar in 1992 he would shut himself away for hours of intense guitar practice, re-writing many existing guitar methods. In 1996 after years of experimental covers bands, David J Swift formed three-piece heavy rock outfit Elixir, proving to be his best move so far. The group soon took on the evolving Swift sound. Nearly three years later, and boasting over two years of performing and long hours of recording with Elixir, David J made the decision to finish with the band and go solo. 2001 was to see some of the biggest changes to David J and his music career. The inevitable step of recording the "Let It Rain" four song promotional CD single soon started, and was completed 13-08-01, coinciding with the forming of the David J Swift band.
