Artist History
I am a keyboard player born and raised in New York. I was kind of forced to take piano lessons at a young age, and I always hated practising (a big regret). But I really got into music when I was given a Korg Poly800 synth for my 13th birthday, which I still have (and modded with a cutoff and resonance knob soldered to the circuit board!). I learned how to be a better player by learning songs off the radio by ear, especially by learning all the keyboard parts from Genesis and Yes songs, which were very 'keyboard heavy.' This also furthured my passion for 'electronic' music.
As a writer, I liken my music to an up escalator. It's uplifting, unobtrusive, constantly moving, gives you time to think, and transports the listener from one plain to another. Yet if you try to grab at the mechanics deep inside, you'd probably get electrocuted, or mangled, or something really nasty. |
