Artist History
Founding members Chris Calderbank(vocals, guitar)and Paul Corscadden(drums)hooked up in a different band in 1990.Sharing the same tastes in music and having the same attitude about playing and writing, they hit it off right away. That band went on to become one of Toronto's most popular independent bands at the time. For years they knocked around the Canadian cicuit, constantly gigging and recording. After a record deal went sour, they lost their bass player who had decided to pack it in.A short time later Paul met Davey Wheelan through his cousin."The first time I met Davey,he was dressed in a cow costume with a Don King wig on,crawling under a pool table looking for his beer that he dropped...I was killing myself laughing..." It was Halloween by the way.Davey, who had only been in Canada from Scotland a few years joined as a second guitar player, adding a new element to the bands sound.Dana Perry was playing around the Toronto scene for years when he answered an ad.They wasted no time at all, within 2 weeks of meeting, they went into a friends studio and laid down 5 new songs. It was there that they met legendary producer Terry Brown(Rush,The Who)and Terry nodded his approval"This is a great CD.. the tunes, the arrangements and the vocals are killer...Vertical Creep are earmarked for success.." The band is currently working on a video for a brand new song.
