Artist History
Started in the summer of 2000, Nipson Lounge
began as an alternative rock band under the name
Bye Wednesday. With Keith on drums, Pete on
bass, Richard on guitar and Ryan on the mic, the
band felt that they had a diverse, but fitting
combination of individuas ready to play. An early
change in the line-up brought in new influences
and rekindled some old ones. Bryon replaced
Richard on guitar and punk rock was the new
sound.
Almost two years later the band decides clean
house and rid themselves of their loosest link -
the singer. Bryon continued on as the new singer
and guitarist and the band has remained a
three-piece since.
The music soon changed with the new voice.
Breaking off from the original pop-punk, the band
shifted toward a more powerful and raw sound
similar to many late 80s and early 90s punk
bands. Strong vocals and intelligent lyrical writing
balanced with an older rock 'n roll style of
songwriting borught out the best in the band. This
new, more aggressive feel has quickly brought
them further than they had ever been previously.
Enjoy the show. |
