Artist History
Formed by the Grey in the last days of 2000, LAB-7 started as being only a tag name for some personal musical experimentations.
The name came from the the contraction of LABORATORY and the number 7 as a tribute to the movie Se7en. The central theme of this movie was the 7 deadly sins and the insanity of a man.
It was the starting point of the musical project now known as LAB-7.
In preparation of original material, LAB-7 tried its hands on the art of remixing other artists. After a year of musical explorations, some personal music began to materialized.
In 2002, the creation process reached an end with the release of a autoproduced CD called PSYCHOTIC EPISODES.
Psychotic Episodes is a conceptual album, and propose to the listener a journey into the disturbed mind of a fictional character.
Since its limited release in march 1st 2002, the CD is receiving good reviews. Encouraged, LAB-7 began to write new songs and new music for a new CD.
With new eletronic gears, and more confident, LAB-7 has begun the exploration of new territories. A new theme will be exploited and a new conceptual CD is to be expected. Stay tuned for more.
And I would like to thanx to everyone who supported, believed, encouraged LAB-7 since its humble beginning !
