Press Reviews
"Taking a blueprint laid down in equal parts by emotive astral metalers maudlin of the Well , technical death dealers Cryptopsy, and metalcore/noise dudes Superhighway Carfire, Forever is Forgotten is forging it's own path in the heavy music arena. It's a pleasure to hear the spark of originality - not being brutal for brutal's sake, not showing off technical prowess just because they can. Forever is Forgotten transcends that one-dimensional stereotype, adding beauty to the arrangements to juxtapose the harsh vocals and the sometimes machine-gun riffing.
The band calls themselves "Emotional Metal" - that seems pretty fitting based on the four songs here... I mean you don't name a song "Destroying a Lifetime of Innocence" and not have it be somewhat of an emotional sledgehammer. What I like with this band is the balance of emotional catharsis (vocalist Pez brings to mind incessant wailing and gnashing of teeth from the netherworld) and technical prowess. The combination of the two makes for a pretty damn powerful listening experience. The aural equivalent of a primal scream therapy. Beats the hell out of Prozac and a hell of a lot of cheaper." - Hellride Music (www.hellridemusic.com)
