Artist description
Spoill is an electronic rock band working out of Orlando, Florida. Inspired by the writings of Daniel Quinn and movies such as Soylent Green and Fight Club, Spoill carries a personal, societal, political, and environmentally conscience message through their music. The idea behind Spoill is not simply to entertain, but to educate, and make their listeners aware of the fallacies that surround their everyday lives. With musical influences such as nine inch nails, Filter, Stabbing Westward, KMFDM, and Ultraspank, Spoill's music mixes elements of rock, metal, and hardcore, with elements of electronic instruments and even orchestral sounds. Spoill's live show is a very emotional, powerful, and enticing event. From heavy choruses with hardcore screams, to melodic bridges with harmonies, Spoill is bound to keep the audience's attention; What better way to keep them listening? |

Group Members
Daniel Smith, originally from the Philadelphia area, is the heart and soul behind Spoill. He gave birth to Spoill at age fifteen when he began experimenting with his parent's synthesizer. Smith instantly found his musical niche mixing electronic instruments with his rock background. Improving both his musical and lyrical writing skills over the years, Smith would record two Spoill demos before releasing their first full length CD, Against the Grain in 2002. Smith authored everything on the album, and performed all but the drums. On stage, Daniel is mainly the lead vocalist, but also runs the keyboards and sequencers. In 2001, Smith moved to Orlando to continue his education and, with Spoill, take "O-Town" by storm.
David Schnatz, originally from the Philadelphia area, and a former schoolmate of Smith's, played guitar for Spoill from 1996 to 1998. Schnatz was featured on both Spoill demo recordings. In a strange twist of fate, David would also end up in the Orlando area. Schnatz, excited to be on board again, rejoins Spoill on stage in 2002 with more attitude and more experience.
Brian Wilder, a Jacksonville, Florida native, is quite familiar with the live music scene. For the last nine years, Wilder played with a punk rock band in his hometown. Brian adds a new flavor to the live sound of the band, making their shows even more volatile.
Corey Bell, originally from the Philadelphia area, and a former schoolmate of Smith and Schnatz, is the newest addition to the Spoill lineup. Like Smith, Bell came to Orlando to continue his education. Corey comes from a punk/indie background, but loves to play all styles of music. Spoill will be a new and welcomed experience for the drummer.
