    Artist History
The saga of red number forty began in August of 2000. Here is their story: It all began on a Wednesday afternoon when Mark Leone called out sick from work. As it turned out, The He-Man All Male Revue had a limit on sick days and fired Mark. Dejected, he decided to rob a music store because, “those hippies in there needed a dose of reality.” On the way out, he took a guitar and some guy named Tim as a hostage. At that point in time, Tim was spending his days as a soundtrack developer for amateur pornographies. However, only a block away the police pulled Mark over for excessive littering (apparently, it is illegal to dispose of petroleum on an interstate highway, who knew?) Little did they know that ill-fated robbery would change their lives. While in the detention cell, they met a disheveled shell of a man named Justin who was serving time for public defecation. While Mark was spending his time learning to play his stolen guitar, Justin took a stick and repeatedly hit anybody who came within 3 feet. Although this resulted in many nights in “the hole”, it lead him to an interest in percussion. Tim saw a budding guitarist and a strung out violent person with a stick and did what any normal person would do; he broke them all out of prison, put them together in a band and played bass with his own personal porno style. They began touring, in drag, under the name The Decapitated Mongoose, but weren’t successful…at least in the 49 United States (I’ll be cold and dead before I recognize Missouri!) Then they found Europe and they grew in popularity, particularly in Albania. They became the largest touring act in Europe and were rewarded with riches beyond their wildest dreams. A wave of indestructibility took over the band and they decided to invest in hamsters. Within a week, they were broke again. They returned to America to escape the pressure of public life and work on their music. It was at this point that they adopted the name 'red number forty'. Ever since they have lived under the guise of “normal” people. Only time will tell if they ever resort back to their original ways. God help us all if they do. Disclaimer: 98% of story may not have actually occurred. 2% may be the story of Motley Crue.
