Artist History
The members of Pretty Sober played informally together for two years before finally forming
the band while living in Boston in the summer of 2001. Despite only existing as a formal band
for a short time, their sound has caught on like wildfire as their regular gigs in the Connecticut
area have yielded a devoted following. Their biggest show to date, opening for the Pat Magee band,
was played to a crowd of 500. |

Ned deBary-Guitarist/Bassist/Lead Singer from Connecticut.
Writes most of the lyrics and sings vocal harmonies with Hassell.
Charels Hassell-Bassist/Guitarist/Singer from North Carolina brings
his country influences to the band.
Ian Knox- An innovative banjo player from Canton Mass combines his rhythmic
picking with lead riffs for a unique banjo style.
Zack Bluestone-A classically trained violinist from Washinton DC also brings a hip hop
influnce to the band.
John Traversi-Purcussionsit from Attleboro MA, Traversi is skilled in a wide variety of
instruments including Congas, Bongos, Djembe, and Shakers |
