Artist History Formed nicely within the depths of a small town in rural north Texas sometime in 2001, Bangarang didn't exactly draw from the same well of influences as the rest of the "local music scene". While most latter-year high school students were buying up the newest Slipknot and Creed run-off, our heroes had the gall to gravitate toward artists like Sonic Youth, Supergrass, the Pixies, and Blur. Shunned by friends and family members for over a year, little armies of shimmering noise-pop gems started to accumulate and before long, nothing could hold back the rock! Bursting onto the Dallas club-scene in late 2002, the ingenius and friendly force of Bangarang continues to propel audiences into alternate dimensions, and more importantly, get them moving. Combining incredible live sounds with wacky stage antics (i.e. random bloody appendages, magic tricks, and giant Pooh-bears), Bangarang has become one of the most talked about, and unbelievably difficult bands to classify in the north Texas music scene.
