Artist description
Arisja is...
...the brainchild of Greek-born composer/producer Peter G and Australian-born singer/songwriter Libby Rowe, both who presently reside in Holland, living and breathing music seven days a week.
Arisja (pronounced "Arisha") was a name for the Ancient Greek Goddess of Prophetic Vision, and the "Legend of Diana" is a story written by Libby Rowe and Graham Turner, based on a centuries-old legend centred on the sacred Arician Grove in Southern Italy.
Peter and Libby have been writing, recording, producing, and performing together for 5 years, and the Arisja project is their newest baby.
Peter has played in diverse bands all over the globe, and has written and produced jingles, music for film and television, overseen CD productions for many other artists, and owned recording studios and production facilities in both Australia and The Netherlands.
He is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and producer, and sang, played bass, drums, electric and acoustic guitar, keyboards, and did all sequencer programming on the Arisja CD.
Libby is an all-round performer who started out as a professional dancer and acrobat, then ran away to join a circus as a trapeze artist at the tender age of seventeen.
After a few years of touring with plays, circuses and large Musical Theatrical productions she turned her hand to live band singing, and hasn't looked back since.
With many albums, TV and radio jingles, and bands on her C.V. Libby is an accomplished live performer, boasting a three and a half octave vocal range, and always has the audience captivated by her sweet tones. Libby wrote and sang all the songs on the Arisja CD. |
