Artist description
Swing with an irreverent attitude. The Mobcat Orchestra aspires not to merely duplicate traditional swing music but evolve it into an unprecedented art form. Our music seizes what has already been done and manipulates it into a new sound. Leaning on the dirt of backbeating blues as well as pushing the Lindy Hoppers to exhaustion, The Mobcat Orchestra never fails to entertain and accommodate everyone from the raging dances, to the passive listeners, to the glaring eyes of the critics. Although trends pass, The Mobcat Orchestra's distinctive presence and progressive style ensures its own future. |

Artist History
The Mobcat Orchestra has played numerous clubs and private functions in South Georgia. The Mobcat Orchestra has spent most of its time playing locally and preparing 20+ songs and arrangements before exploring national circuits. We feel that as a professional swing band we should have a 2+ hour set completely memorized to meet the needs of any swing club or swing music lover. |
