Artist History
The band was started by Jesse and former guitarist Dave Alex in 1995. John joined the band in 1996 and added the needed intensity to propel the band forward from it's rock roots. Rick was the next piece of the puzzle to be added to the mix in the spring of 1998. With his addition, the core of the band came into being. Ted was brought in to further boost the band's sound in early 1999. In June of 2000, founding member Dave Alex departed the band to pursue other avenues of musical interest. After two more years of playing anywhere and everywhere, John Foley departed for personal reasons. He was replaced by Sean Wertheim in April 2002. Shortfuse will again return to the central New England music scene in late summer 2002. |

Press Reviews
The July 1999 Metronome MagazineMetal is alive and well in Sutton, Massachusetts due to the blazing fivesome known asShortfuse. Not only do they perpetrate incredibly chucky licks, but they play with timing like noband that has come before them. Gargantuan guitars piloted by a fiery rhythm section thatcan stop and start on a dime are completed by growling vocals that bite with intensity of a maddog. If you're looking for a ferocious musical trip, Shortfuse is poised for eruption. |
