    Artist description
Sean Michael Mormelo is truly a multifaceted artist. Born in New Jersey and Raised in Florida, his musical talent encompasses a wide range of instruments including vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. Sean’s Songwriting is highlighted by strong vocals, diverse instrumentation, as well as interesting melodic hooks. His songwriting styles range from Rock/Pop and Country to R&B, Dance/Techno, to Folk. Growing up in an extremely artistic family, Sean enjoyed the freedom to nurture his talent and grow as an Artist. He began writing at the age of eight and performing at fourteen, influenced by such artists as The Beatles, Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Elton John, and Van Halen. His sound is a Mix of acoustic influenced rock that is heavy on the harmonies and has wide cross-over appeal. For the past ten years, he has performed professionally in countless venues across North America, winning legions of Fans from Anchorage, Alaska to Cancun, Mexico. For the past decade, Sean has honed his skills as live performer through thousands of live shows, producing 2 solid independent releases along the way with the band THEMM (If You Wanna Change Your World, 1992 and The Dream, 1993). Sean made his living solely from performing music, whether solo acoustic or with a band all through the 1990’s. By 1998, Sean put together a home studio and began recording what was to be his first SOLO release. This effort proved to be quite a challenge in that almost every instrument, all recording, producing and engineering was done by Sean alone. In the midst of all of this, in the Fall of 1999, Sean accepted an offer to move to California to compose/produce/perform/engineer original music for various media including corporate, web, and interactive. Sean continued to record his Solo CD in California, and along the way has build a successful presence on the internet including being picked as a Featured Artist in September 1999, on Riffage.com. Other WEB success include having songs in heavy rotation on www.Relnetradio.com with his songs consistently being the Top downloaded out of all Artists as well as having the most “Hits”. Being on the cutting edge, Sean believes in the potential of the Internet for promotion, and continues to expand his opportunities by keeping abreast of technology. A 6 song EP is now available exclusively on MP3.com and the Full length CD, "Real" will be available by the end April 2002. By the end of 2002, Sean plans to hit the road full-time playing Colleges, Clubs, Pubs and Theaters all over the United States to spread the word. “Performing live is where I truly get a sense of who I am”, says Sean, and “being on the road is where I feel at home”. Rest assured that this artist will be in your area some time in the future and if you are lucky you just might catch a performance. Until then, Sean will be plugging away, giving his all and winning new fans every night..

    Press Reviews
http://renegadereviews.homepage.com/page27.html*******************Sean Michael Mormelo- Listened to "real": I liked this right from the first organ riff. Catchy pop sound, nice production, drums, conga, organ, and interesting arrangement. I don't know if I agree with his choices of similar artists. There seems to be some jazz style elements. "Real" almost reminds me of Steely Dan. He does have very good voice and can convey good emotion rather than just spitting out lyrics. "The Way" Acoustic ballad. Very easy listening, radio-ready kind of thing. Good strong melody. I like the guitar harmony lead sections, you don't hear that much anymore.
