Artist description Give a description of band? hmmm...ok. well, a band might be generally described as an assemblage of kindred individuals joined together to achieve an aim; such as a nomadic conquering band of savages pillaging in pastoral villages and mixing up the gene pool, or a band of musicians engaged in moving air molecules in configurations which ideally might soothe said such savage souls. The Gidgets strive towards this latter description.

Artist History Give a history of band? ummm.... well, the earliest musical bands emerged from sacred drum circles. orchestral colors gradually expanded with the introduction of shell whistles, reeded tubes of hollowed-out wood or bone, tension-wound strings of animal gut; and eventually keyed devices such as the harpsichord, clavichord and pipe organ. innovations modeled from these latter devices, coupled with remarkable advances in the fields of synthetic materials, electromagnetic induction and electronics, brought about tremendous acceleration in the 20'th century; and provided hitherto inconceivable and miraculous tools and methods to create sound. now many individuals -such as introverts, the socially challenged, the slow moving perfectionist, or otherwise those who are just plain quirky- may formulate and sketch musical ideas without first having to secure others in order to convey them. and so it is from this approach that the Fidgeting Gidgets have come to be; evolving as a loose affiliation of co-conspirators who share a certain affinity for shiny upbeat pop... {seeking an adorable female with a dangerously cute voice and a melodically expressive guitarist for recording projects at the Gidgets' home base on the beautiful island of Kauai. please e-me for more info...}
