Danny Deane has created a very infectious song, so just to be safe I have been playing it over and over again all day. So far, the indications show that it holds up to repeated listenings.Beginning with a speedy, cranking guitar riff, "In Love With a Gun," adds seductive vocals to the mix,creating one of the most hook laden rock tunes you're likely to stumble upon. I don't know what thereis with songs that are about guns, but I've never heard one I didn't like. The verse, "My baby's in love with a gun, she's taking it everywhere and aiming it at everyone," shows that Deane is a clever lyricist, creating what may be hot sexual imagery or just a song about a gun, it's hard to tell.Coming up with a point of reference is tough. If you like the Beatles rockier stuff you'll love this song.I'm going to save this song and listen to it frequently. My guess is that I'll still like it weeks from now.
