Press Reviews
'Formed in 1989 in the S.F. Bay Area, CA, U.S, hard rockers Babylon A.D. were one of the most important groups of that golden era (how I miss it, that time was magic!). In '89 they released their classic S/T which gained praises from several rock press mags world wide. It produced 4 singles, spent 35 weeks (peaking #51) in Billboard Magazine, 3 videos (one of them had the lead track and stared in the video promotion of Robocop 2 and two years of non-stop touring in the big cities across the U.S and Canada! The follow up disc, Nothing Sacred, was released in '92 and as you can imagine hit the charts as well, combining the albums they sold over 450,000 records! As you can see, those guys used to know how to make good songs, they made it, there were one of the best... Let's keep our fingers crossed for a new studio album scheduled for '99.
Now they're back with this live album full of bedlam and fulminating energy recorded in Dallas, Milwaukee, Chicago, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Detroit. It showcases the best songs from the 2 only records with members -- Derek Davis (vocals), Danny DeLaRosa (guitars), Ron Freschi (guitars & vocals), Jamey Pacheco (drums) and Robb Reid (bass & vocals) -- on a great shape! Track #1 ( |
