Artist History
Three was formed in 1999 by former, Atlantic Records, recording artist Caspar McCloud. McCloud was led to Christ by his close friend and mentor Phil Keaggy. The first Three Cd, "In Our Lifetime", features Phil as a guest artist on two tracks, "Still I Wonder" and the title track, "In Our Lifetime". McCloud has opened for and performed with numerous well known artists including Phil Keaggy and The Newsboys. Newsboy Jody Davis sings a duet with Caspar on the title track of the second Three Cd "Soul Saved". Three has performed at numerous churches and events in the southeastern states. McCloud has performed internationally and once had a staring role portraying John Lennon in the Hit Broadway musical "Beatlemania". McCloud has also been featured on the 700 club and other similar television programs. The first time Three performed for a crowd of about one thousand, forty-six people accepted their clear presentation of the Gospel and gave themselves to Christ Jesus and there have been many more since. Praise be to God only! |

Press Reviews
By Brian Ballard
The band Three is presently booking for performances after having released their new CD "In Our Lifetime", The new CD is a mixture of songs ranging from acoustic rock to powerful instrumentals. The songs, however, are not so diverse that they do not belong together. It is obvious that the band picked material to be included on the CD with the listening audience in mind. According to guitarist Caspar McCloud, Three wanted to include songs that were compatible and yet allowed for enough diversity to hold the attention of the listener. The CD also reflects the band's ability to shine in more than one musical category.
To categorize the band's style is not an easy task. As with any completely original composers, an artist's background and influences may be reflected in the new songs. The new CD from Three is an unusual mating of musical influences. Some songs are reminiscent of such guitar aficionados as Steve Morse and Eric Johnson. The smooth tone and blazing speed of guitarist Caspar McCloud places him solidly in the category of one of the best guitar players that I know. Other songs like "Indestructible" and "Doctor In The House", display a strong mixture of flavors. Imagine what the end product would be if Sting wrote a song for the band Rush.
One would think that a live concert with only a three piece band would produce a thin sound.
This is not the case with Three. Guitar rhythms are artfully reproduced and controlled on stage through the use of a sampling/delay processor that allows McCloud to play rhythm and lead guitar parts simultaneously. The combination of McCloud's guitar innovation, the solid backing on drums and bass fill any additional sonic lapses, Three creates an illusion of a much larger band. With McCloud and his charming European accented voice at the vocal helm and his quick English humor this band is very entertaining in a live setting.
Noted Guitarist Phil Keggy has recommended this CD. I tend to agree.
If it is innovative guitar oriented rock music that peaks your interest,
I would suggest that you try a sample of Three.
