Artist description
This versatile and powerful vocalist/musician has written, performed and produced her latest rock album:
Like retro? You'll like this. So what's in The Retro Zone? Well it's not girlie, but it has nothing to prove either. There's power without creating alarm, emotion without nausea and a beat with a "boomph" not a "tin, tin tin."
Rudge-rock is retro brought up to date. There are echoes of the late 60's/early 70's (Wishbone Ash, Bad Company, Animals, Beatles), but this is no wannabe tribute band. This is distinctly Rodrica Rudge with her London-meets-the-USA delivery and an approach which provides the best of both worlds through some well placed light and shade. On the surface you'll get some good sounds to take away with you...but delve deeper and there's even more to be found in the lyrics. |
