Artist History
The band started its course in October 2001, even though the full line-up was only completed in January 2002. The group is currently formed by Luis Silva (vocals and guitar), Luis Costa (drums), Filipe Gracio (guitar) and Celso Pinto (bass).
The idea for this project was hatched in July 2001 by Luis Silva and Luis Costa, after each of them left their previous bands. With only one theme recorded (Closed Fist) Luis Silva showed it to Luis Costa, who was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the quality of the song. He contacts a friend who had already played bass with him in a previous band (Nuno), and the three start jamming on a few riffs that quickly turned into full songs! Soon enough they realized a second guitar player was needed, and following a series of auditions, Filipe Gracio was chosen for that place.
In February 2002, the band decides to try and record a home made demo-CD. Using only the (few) available means, they successfully record 4 songs (Under a Shell, Closed Fist, Razor Keen e Any Given Day) which best represented the band’s sound at that time, and that would allow them to get their first live performances.
In August 2002 Nuno (the bass player) was forced to leave the band due to personal problems, and was quickly replaced by Celso Pinto who had also been a bandmate of Luis Costa in several previous bands.
The band is currently rehearsing for the next performances with this new lineup, and also working on a few new songs that will certainly be tested out live on the upcoming shows.
The recording of a new demo, this time on a professional studio and with a renowned producer , is schedule for the end of this year.
Stay tuned for more developments on the preparation of this recording!
