The Persona attempts to describe the most universal of human thoughts and emotions through harmonious and aggressive guitar work, melodious and driving bass lines, explosive and articulate rhythms, all balanced by atmospheric and emotional vocals. The Persona has an electric musical aesthetic, distinguished from the existing music scene in San Diego as it wends its way inward, outward, and towards the new musical horizons.

Artist History The Persona formed in the Spring of 2003 from the fusion of the musical talents of Hiro Miyazaki (guitar/vocals), Ryan Phillips (Drums), Anthony Cutietta (guitar), and Jim Deguchi (Bass). Our philosophy of music stems from the Jungian concept of the "persona" as being merely the social facade of the self. It is to the "true self" beneath the "persona" to which we perform.
