Artist History
Sean began his journey at the age of 11 learning how to play guitar for the first time. He always loved combining music and dramatics together. He starred in three plays thruoghout his grade 7-8 years. The main one was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour
Dreamcoat in which he starred as Joseph (in elementary school). The play was a hit earning the DramaFest award. For awhile after that he gave up playing the guitar all together. It took a school end-of-the-year assembly for him to realize what
his calling was. Something happened to him when he saw the highschool bands up there. He said to himself, "I could be doing that." So the next year he did. Just out of the blue at the brand new S.T.A Sean asked someone who he didn't know
if they played drums. That someone happened to be Eric who would become one of four members (Melissa Vocals-Guitar, Sean Vocals-Guitar, Eric Drums-Backup Vocals, Mark Bass) of the local band known as Karma. They opened for such bands as Salmon Blaster, Furnace Face,
Wendy Lands, and the local band Slipnaught. In early 1996 they enterd a Battle of the Bands (put on by R.O.R. Concerts) and won. The prize for winning was 20 hours of free recording time at Orbital Studios)
They recorded two songs "Man inside of me" and "Real disguise". Real Disguise was featured on a compilation CD called Rising Indies. The band was starting to get a bit of a "buzz". Just when the sky looked clear.
they decided to split. Sean then began a long journey of discovery. He stared playing shows at places in London. He opened for Typhoid Mary. At one of those shows is where he met up with his good friend and
fellow musician Tony O. Over the next few years the two woluld begin helping eachother better their craft. Sean found a higher vocal register which he never knew he had. He is now trying to start up a new project. Let's just say it's more progressive than anything I've done in the past.
Sean looks at music as a total expression of who he is. One if not Sean's biggest strength is his songwriting. His lyrics were featured as poems in the multimedia collection called "Journey to the Exterior" Sean exclaims, "A song is like a baby you have to nurture it and let it grow."
