Artist History HARBOR bio ~ 2000, the ambition of two young musicians who want to write play original music begin as Ted (guitar) and James (drums). What began as after school jam sessions turned into a gradual group of here and there members. Throughout early 2001, a band named Goldtoe practiced on and off. Ted Weidenbach wrote songs and played guitar, Geoff Gullickson played bass, Andrew Soderlund sang, and James Eagle played drums. They played to (very) small audiences in basements and earned playing experience together. Practice slowed as the year progressed, until it almost stopped near the fall. A close school friend and fellow singer/songwriter named Matt Schufman practiced a couple times with the band members, playing rhythm guitar. As Andrew slowly left the band in late September Matt took over vocals and part song writing. The band (now unnamed) played a few basement shows and school concerts. After a new dilemma of names, after trying “Further” and “Emperor” all of the band mates finally decided on the name Harbor and began writing songs like mad and gigging around town. Harbor played school talent shows, restaurants, relays, and cafes. Harbor has been gigging and song writing ever since. During the summer of 2002, after high school graduation. Using the money they made from gigs, Harbor recorded an 11 song CD/Demo entitled Getaway. Gullickson mixed the entire album and Harbor recorded everything by themselves. The band has been passing it out around town and college. Schufman and Weidenbach have been constantly writing since, and many new songs have been coming together everyday. Bass player, Geoff Gullickson, was recently replaced by Jeff Lundquist who has been playing music for ten years. After playing together for a year, Harbor aspires to become serious musicians and sign to a label. Harbor is: Matt Schufman- vocals, guitar; Ted Weidenbach- guitar; Jeff Lundquist- bass; James Eagle- drums.
