Artist History
DSP was started when founding memeber Jeremy Rose
met with Jeff after a poetry slam at WCU and asked
if he was interesed in starting a band. The two then
jammed with Eric Newsom in Jeremy's room. The three
found that playing music together suited them. Then
they played with Benjie and Dave who Eric knew. The band
was created. All this happened in Nov. 2001. Jeremy then
left the band to pursue oversea's schooling. |

Press Reviews
"The Donner Search Party is a band that sprang up from the unlikely state of North Carolina.
Unlike more popular bands from North Carolina like Superchunk or Ben Folds Five, DSP did not come
from Raliegh, they came from the wooded regions of Cullowhee. Cullowhee, nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains,
is said to be a hot bed of musical talent. The truth is it is not. Cullowhee sucks. So does this band."
