Artist History The path of the righteous is like the dawn, shining ever brighter… Sarah Adams began her path in Des Moines, Iowa with parents who constantly encouraged her to find her passion. At a young age, Sarah recalls a special Christmas gift. “I was four years old and my parents gave me a small, toy piano. Though I did not know the names of the keys, I made up my own and wrote a book of songs. With my song book in one hand, I would drag my toy piano to all our neighbor’s houses and give them concerts in the their driveways.” After this first “tour”, everyone knew that Sarah was destined for a life in music. As Sarah grew up in a family that appreciated all kinds of music, she was exposed to the various styles. She grew up with her mother’s love of Carole King, John Denver and 50’s doo-wop and her father’s love of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and good ‘ole country. At age twelve, she began taking piano lessons and was soon writing songs of her own, and singing for her church, youth group and school. In high school Sarah was exposed to worship music, experiencing the awesome power of music filled with the Holy Spirit. This experience brought Sarah to new musical levels, giving her the desire to become a well-rounded songwriter. Teaching herself the guitar and playing with other musicians gave her the opportunity to play at various school functions, area coffee shops and various churches. In the summer of ’99, Sarah recorded her first four song EP Poor Man in Nashville. Through Sarah’s music you can see her desire to communicate the reality of life and encourage listeners to fervently seek Jesus in all things. “I want to share my heart and soul without any inhibitions!” says Sarah. Newly relocated to Northern California, Sarah has focused her attention on expanding her musical opportunities by increasing her tour schedule and by recording her first full-length album, due out in the fall of 2002. As Sarah continues down the path of the righteous, she remains focused on the dawn of the new day. “No matter what Jesus brings my way in the realm of music, my purpose still remains to shine ever brighter!”
