Artist History
I (Mike) started working on some original songs
with my good friend Steve H back in 1995. We each
wrote several songs and started rehearsing them
with Lynne and Ginette. In 1997, I contacted Marc
with a hope of recording a song called "Even Now".
Marc and I go way back, to the mid-70's in Gatineau, Quebec.
We ended up recording Even Now in the spring of 1998.
This was so much fun that we were back in the studio
in '99 for Elgin Street Blues - a self-parody about
going to Maxwell's with my 'brothers' Shawn and Paul
in the early '90s.
This is when we started recording with Charles and
Dave, and brought in our good friend Daniel on drums.
This was also when I met Al, our keyboard player.
We were back in the studio in 2000, with the help
of Nigel on bass for
Long Way From You.
For Give It Up, we brought in Don P on bass, and Steve C
on vocals.
All the musicians you're hearing live in
and around Ottawa Canada.
Huge thanks to Marc for making my songs come to
life and his outstanding musicianship;
and thanks to Steve H for giving me the inspiration to
write. And thanks to Ginette, Lisa and Caroline for
listening and cheerleading.
p.s. no guitars were harmed in the recording of
these songs ! |
