Press Reviews
Review - Thirteen songs that'll make you want to bang you head and a guitar player named Fish. What more could you want? I'll tell you what else I want, a circus midget, a jelly donut, a tube of KY, and a $500.00 glass dildo from sexnology.com. That's another story all together, and something I don't think I could get from this disc. Not unless this disc came with a coupon from sexnology, but I didn't see one. Pity. I guess I'll have to settle for the songs and Fish, which I won't complain about. Enemy of Mine is a 5 piece hailing from Ohio. Musically, it's not what I had expected. I have no idea what I did expect to hear, but whatever I did expect, this wasn't it. Make no sense to you? Me neither. I'll try that again. Musically, it's really groove-heavy. Not an over the top rap metal type of groove, but a heavy groove with a splash of hardcore. Definitely will make your head bob, and if you're the type with a set of balls, probably make you want to get a pit going. The disc opens with the track "Systematic Cause", which is an ass kicker, and just keeps going. EoM keep it heavy and groovy, but they have their 'softer' moments like on the track "Deserve". Not that "Deserve" is a love song, more like a date rape song; starts out all mellow (equivalent to being slipped a drug) then just proceeds to abuse you.
