Artist History district six was originally formed in october of 1999 with charlie[6] sheets as the guitarist and lead vocals, nathan[6] phillips as bass guitar, and shawn[6] cartwright as percussion. in june of 2001 the band underwent a structural change when nathan[6] left district six and chris[6] patton and scott[6] hall joined. currently, district six is charlie[6] sheets as lead guitar and lead vocals, chris[6] patton as rhythm guitar and backup vocals, scott[6] hall as bass guitar, and shawn[6] cartwright as percussion. since district six was first formed, charlie[6] had been the dominating force behind the band's musical direction, but the recent addition of chris[6] has afforded the band the opportunity to grow stylistically.
