Artist History I started playing guitar when I was a schoolboy in Vatra Dornei (the North-East region of Romania a.k.a. Bucovina). Then I met Fane (my former 'SirBlues' mate, Stefan Adumitroaie) and we would play for friends almost everywhere we met or on the Black Sea Coast during the summer. 'SirBlues' was in the first place a way to say hello. Then we called ourselves SirBlues as a Blues band. The word comes from the Latin 'Servus' and we changed it a bit... Take it as 'I'm serving The Blues' or even better 'I'm serving you through Blues'. We didn't have any public appearance until 1995 as singing and playing English or American music was forbidden those days by the communist regime. With a little help from my friends... we've been touring Austria (1998) and Belgium (1998, 1999 - 'More Blues Festival'). Unfortunately, the next year, on May 11th, Stefan 'SirBlues' Adumitroaie passed away. I also lost another dear friend of mine, a wonderful musician, 'Lawrence of the Blues Harp' and since then I play solo or with friends from Romania or Belgium. 'Dealing with Blues' was the third Belgium tour (March 2003) and Peter Werbeckmoes and Jan Blieck joined me for the new 'SirBlues' band. Due to my wonderful guitars and particularly my 'Gabrielle' (a Dobro guitar, a present from Mr. Gabriel Cornilescu), the music I play it's gotta be acoustic. Consequently, it is always Acoustic Traditional Blues.
