    Artist History
The band recorded and performed in the SF Bay area from 1980 through 1983. In 1984, the band evolved into Dress for Success (from 1984 - 1997), which then became Article of Faith in 1998 (to present). they recorded quite a bit of material, and instead of just letting the old cassettes deteriorate...here they are for you to enjoy (or not!) :) A lot of the tunes turned out pretty well, with U.S. & Russia winning in its category in the American Song Festival in 1984. That tune also ended up in the hands of John and Dino Elephante, and evidently they seriously considered covering it - perhaps even was considered for bringing to the table when John was with Kansas (in my dreams! I cannot believe that I turned down John's invitation to come JAM with him before a gig he was playing at a local church! What a dork I was......am?)
    Group Members
The members were: Jeff Blumer (guitars/vocals), George McCuen (drums/vocals), Gerald Neil Flaherty (bass/vocals) and Mark LaVezzo (Guitar/Keyboards/Vocals). Steve Raschke (played briefly with Mr. Clean/Robert S) played keys in the earliest version of the band.
    Instruments
Les Paul and Les Paul copy, Strat copy through Boogie and Acoustic amps, Sonor drums, I think there was an Arp Odyssey, a Yamaha keyboard, perhaps a Univox mono synth, etc...oh yeah! A Gibson Grabber Bass, and a Fender Precision
    Albums
none ever......we'll produce one eventually to include some of the archived LIVE material as well. (oh boy!)
    Press Reviews
there are some...I just have to find them. The band won a North Bay Area Battle of the Bands in 1983. All with smoke, fire, fog and bombs! Wild show for guys wearing jeans, tennis shoes, skinny little ties and short hair!
    Additional Info
Guys who used to be in the band: PLEASE email me to update/correct submit any recorded stuff, etc....(If I ever make any money, we'll figure something out!)
