INFLUENCES: Mr Sandman's musical influences include older artists & bands like Jimmy Hendrix, The P-Funk All-stars, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, The Meters & Herbie Hancock. Newer influences extend to bands like RATM, Helmet, RHCP, Primus, SFK & Incubus. ACHIEVEMENTS: 1. Press Reviews "...Fresh from what some may consider the holy grail of Australian alternative music - Triple J airplay, York band Mr Sandman, took to the stage with an air of confidence and blistered through the Middle Eastern influenced 'Too Much Information,' the first song of their five song set. Mr Sandman played extremely well and must have enjoyed playing out live for the first time in almost two months after spending much of the last month working on their soon to be released EP. An extremely energetic performance of crowd favourite 'Jazz Arena Rock' followed and Mr Sandman closed their set soon after with an upbeat and prepollent rendition of 'Untitled.'..."
