Artist History mARYwALKSaLONE got started back in 97 when l.o.s.t. and Zorg tried out some cheap keyboard, drum machine and stomp boxes along with real guitar and bass. There was no vocal lines at that time. They created some very angry and depressed landscapes but felt the need to express more, so Zorg started to drop some words and frases, total nonsense. Everything was going on l.o.s.t. bedroom. They recorded all there. In 98 some home tapes reached a guitar player and studio rat named Bauman, who became the 3rd member. mARY wALKS aLONE started to develop more its electronic side and gained more punch with a 2nd guitar. They hit the play on the drum machine and bleed the fingers. So how to translate all that energy live? They knew it. They needed a human drummer. During their search there was so much frustration... they needed a drummer and a soul mate, a brother. Finally they found the one, BiOX. He fitted nice and was able to play along with programming. Perfect. That expanded their possibilities. After that things started to change. Mechanical textures morphed in a more organic music, but with the same vision. The programming started to be done afterwards. All the time in the studio, mARY wALKS aLONE is developing even more, growing the fans base on live gigs and being exposed on rock radios and reviewed nicely. Their debut will be released on July 2002 by an independent production team called CANiL Producoes down here in Brazil. For now, 2000 CD demos are around, spreading their minds.
