Artist History
"I began to play skiffle music in 1957 after hearing"The Cotton Song" by the Chas.McDevitt Skiffle Group. The music was simple and the delivery plain. The sound reminded me of the songs that I heard my father play on his tenor banjo and ukulele in the 1940's and early 1950's. Lonnie Donegan (skiffle's leading practitioner) became my musical idol and the guiding spirit to my musical endeavours ever since.
I stopped playing skiffle music in 1961 when I took up folk music and old time music."
