Artist History
Montana native Composer/Producer Jon Redlin began writing this project in 1996. After teaming up with Guitarist/Performer/Producer Tom Pavek, recording began in 1999. This work features the vocal virtuosity of Mike Markwald, Talina Tombre, Misty Redlin and six other male and female singers. Eight accomplished studio musicians recorded the score to this production. This assembly of talent hailed from the states of Montana, Minnesota, Oregon, Texas and West Virginia.
In an attempt at definition Jon calls this work a musical biography. It is not a 'rock opera'. Also performed in theaters, it is the story in song and narration of a South African photojournalist and his friends caught in tragic times and events.
This story and music will capture your imagination and carry you away. If you face long commutes each day or enjoy the occasional road trip this CD will make the miles fly by.
Notes from Jon Redlin:
This work was written and recorded in Montana and I continue to be amazed at the talent of the artists in my home state. All who worked on this project shared my passion for this project as is apparent in their performances. The music on this recording is based in rock but draws on other genres at times. Thank you for your interest in our recording. We believe you will enjoy listening to this recording as much as we enjoyed making it.
