    Artist History
CO-EXIST was formed in the summer of 1998 as a five piece Hardcore crew. They recorded the Brethren demo in March 1999, and then they lost the plot...! Slimmed down to a 3 piece they have become more brutal with every song that fell out of their instruments. CO-EXIST the Grind band now exists and is here to mess with every preconception you ever had. Gigs with the likes of Stampin Ground, God Forbid, Medulla Nocte, Vision, Brutal Deluxe, Nile, Boiler Room and even Megadeth have already helped to make CO-EXIST one of the most infamous bands in Scotland. Their live shows are already beginning to be talked about as being legendary. Their recordings have also helped to give them a reputation for being unconventional & manic. The release of the new CO-EXIST recording (PHASE 4: BRED FOR VIOLENCE, TERROR TACTICS & ASSAINATIONS) will establish them as the U.K's answer to Brutal Truth.

CO-EXIST (SUPPORTING NILE) February 6th 2001 - Glasgow Cathouse REVIEWED BY: PAUL SCHWARZ - TERRORIZER MAGAZINE Opening local three-piece Co-exist (ex Confusion Corporation) combined a blasting and intense brand of breakneck grindcore - featuring moments of dissonant, Today is the Day-like slamming - with an amusing, dry sense of humour. I was entertained and musically invigorated in perpetuating succession, particularly when the drumming vocalist's quip when his audience lamented that the band were only going to play two more songs was, "You wanna fuckin' see Nile or not?". Co-exist: proof that it's not just in Kevin Stewart-Panko that an equal liking for grinning and grinding combine. STAMPIN' GROUND, GOD FORBID, DECIMATE, CO-EXIST June 12 Glasgow 2001 - Cathouse REVIEWED BY: THE REVEREND DAVE CIANCIO - THE MAHARAJAH OF METAL The opening band Co-Exist were from the area and played a mix of grind-core in the vein of old Napalm Death, Brutal Truth and Cephalic Carnage that's been hideously mashed together with Fantomas and Macabre but more spastic than anything you'll find in the entire Relapse Records catalogue. They even did a maniacal-noise-laden cover of "Officer Down" by Stampin Ground. I asked one crazed fan to describe their music and all he could say was "mad!" The drummer not only supplied more blast beats than McDonalds does cheeseburgers but he also did all the vocals. It was the kind of insanity that only 3 Scots could supply after years of drinking Scottish ales. Truly fantastic. If you happen to be in Glasgow on July 9 you can see them open for Megadeth. Contact the band at honkeywhitetrash69@hotmail.com The Decimate guys must've been in complete astonishment of Co-Exist (I know I was!) because this the most on point performance they've given on the tour. Death-core at its most violent. By the time God Forbid took stage, the club was 5 people short of hitting capacity. I could not believe how over the top the band came right off the starting blocks. The promoter as well as the Co-Exist guys told us that over half the crowd came out just to see the boys. Apparently everyone in the Glasgow metal circles have been talking about the band. By the looks of the pit you'd have thought God Forbid was playing a home town show as people were moshing, banging, saluting and creating general mayhem through out their set. Even The Reverend felt the need to jump in the pit. During "Reject The Sickness" one fellow pitter grabbed me and said, "If only Limp Bizkit fans could see that." DAMN!!!! I thought this place was nuts for God Forbid...the place was off the hook for Stampin Ground. I can't even say for sure that they knew what they were gonna get from this crowd. I'd go as far as to say they could rename the club The Stanpinhouse or the city Glasground! Its probably not much of a surprise at this point but the wall of death tonight came off like free hookers in Las Vegas...no one could refuse. This show without a doubt was the best yet.
