    Artist description
    Studied classic piano from 1976 to 1983. Began to study the tenor saxophone in 1985. Studied Music Theory and Reading with Dr. Alberto Giraldi (1985-1989). Graduated from the Conservatory of Music in Frosinone, Italy with the highest grades in Music Theory, Reading and Complementary Piano (1989). Studied the saxophone with Dr. Alfredo Santoloci, Conservatory of Music in Perugia, Italy (1989-1992). Studied Harmony, Composition and Music History under the direction of Dr. Alberto Giraldi, Conservatory of Music in Palermo, Italy (1988-1992). Studied Jazz Improvisation and Jazz Ensembles under the direction of Dr. Gianni Oddi, Conservatory of Rome, Italy (1989-1992). Followed the summer courses of the Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) conducted in Perugia, Italy (1990).

    Toured in Italy with the band of the Irish singer Kay McCarthy (1983). Appeared on Jeans 2, a well known musical program on the Italian TV network RAI TRE (1984-1985). Played with the Modern Big Band directed by Dr. Gerardo Iacoucci, Conservatory of Music in Frosinone, Italy (1988-1992). Featured with the Contemporary Saxophone Quartet (classical and contemporary music) formed by Dr. A. Santoloci - soprano sax, Dr. Rosario Giuliani - alto sax, Dr. Andrea Pace - baritone sax (1988-1991). Featured as sax player on the album "Rude" by Ma Steven Band (1990). Started his own label "Shallow Waters Group" and produced his first CD entitled "Just For A Change". Damiano composed and arranged all the tracks (1992). Appeared on the Italian national TV network RAI UNO featuring the Rumanian female singer Kamelia Stajanova (1993). Featured on the international radio program "Studio A" on Vatican Radio (1993). Became a member of an international songwriting team formed by the composer Danny Piacentini and the lyricist Andre Robinson (1993). Toured in Italy with his band (1992, 1993 and 1995). Taught Saxophone Technique and Saxophone Ensembles at the music school Domani Musica, Rome , Italy (1992-1996). Became member of the acid jazz band called "Un Po' Pił Pop" (1993-1996). Featured with the band "Un Po' Pił Pop" for the Vatican during the "World Day for the Young People" ("Giornata Mondiale della Gioventł"), with the presence of the Pope. On that day in the Aula Paolo VI ("Paolo VI Hall", also known as "Aula Nervi"), there were more than 15000 people (March 28, 1996). Relocated to Jackson, Michigan, USA (1996). Collaborated with the singer Milton Bullock, former member of The Platters (1997). Formed a band called "Damisax's Friends" (1997). Currently producing the first album of his new band "Damisax's Friends", to be published during the year 2001.
