    Artist History
In November of 2001, A New Revolution (aNr) was born after Mike and John started talking about music while watching two local bands perform at their high school. Mike, who was already playing with Mitch, got together with John and began jamming 311 covers. The band quickly began to create their own music, which was heavily influenced by 311, RHCP, and Incubus. Their first show took place on December 14th with two temporary vocalists doing Nick Hexum and SA Martinez's parts. People seemed to like the performance. After the show, things fell apart with the two vocalists, and Mike took over vocals in the band. After writing a few more songs, the band decided to record a demo. Jon Freidman and Ed Aranda (or something, we don't really remember his name) took the positions of producers. The demo came out like shit, and to make a long story short, the only thing we are really the least bit happy with, was Killer, which is up on the site as we speak. After one more show at a Battle of the bands competition (which we were disqualified for), the band broke in May. Months went by, as Jon Freidman started to play with John and Mitch and Mike spent his time slitting his wrists. :) Jon decided he didn't want to play with John and Mitch anymore, and Mike filled the spot. We are now called "Seek the Real" and we are not the funky-311 band we once were. Check out the new band's mp3.com page, which will be www.mp3.com/seekthereal. For anyone who really cares, thanks for reading this.
