Artist description
Vibral comes from the word Vibrations, which is what sound and music are constituted of. Vibral Point is the point where the collective soul of 5 elemental vibrations meet to become music.
Dreams are conceived by every person. But it takes much more to face your dreams and plan to turn them into reality. Seeing bands onstage echoing diverse themes and messages; encompassed by a melodious surreal swirls of guitar riffs and solos; pumped by deep sureness and power of ingenuous basslines; and backed by ear-shrieking, soul-shaking and heart-shifting soundwaves from thunderous drums. Nothing can be more of an inspiration for the members of Vibral Point. Each of them are not excellently proficient in their chosen instruments, being mere beginners. They believe in the gradual growth, persistently fuelled by an on-burning passion for creating a myriad of sonic pieces inspired by countless bands and artists from a variety of musical genres.
All in all, breaking it down to the core, Vibral Point is essentially an alternative/hard rock band. Collectively, the members share many idolised and respected bands. Bands and artists like Slash's Snakepit, Incubus, Eric Johnson, Dream Theater, Metallica, RHCP, Inflames, SRV and Double Trouble, Goo Goo Dolls, Paul Gilbert, GNR, Ash and tons others. Vibral Point's music isn't particular modelled after a certain band or artist. Instead, the band tries to let their hearts take control of their music.
Vibral Point's debut appearance was at Youth Park, auditing for the Through The Ears '01 concert. With less than a week to practise, they'd utilized every chance they had to perfect the song 'To The Tune of 5,000 Screaming Children' by The Juliana Theory. Perhaps it was due to inexperience as a band, or maybe nervousness had taken over the moment they set foot on stage, but whatever the cause, the audition turned out to be quite a disaster. Details are going to be spared! However, the audition proved to be a greatly important experience for them, surely a performance to be put behind, but not forgotten.
In the last weeks of January 2002, Rayve stepped down from his bassing responsibilities. Instead, he intends to harness and nurture his talent for singing and concentrate his energies on it.
Within a short period of time, Gerald was recruited with open arms as the new bassist of Vibral Point. His invaluable bass lines will see through many of the band's music.
The band is still in its budding stages. They're looking forward to their own indivual and collective growth as a band, hoping for more appearances and performances. |
