Artist History Longshot was put together to record 1 song "Thanks for the Good Times" We recorded it at Round Sound Studios in Toronto on October 11, 1981. After the recording session, we got along so well that we decided to form a full time band. The name Longshot came out of an argument at which someone said, "It's a longshot if anything ever comes out of this" to which someone else replied, Longshot's a better name than.....*** And so it was. We performed three or four times before Eilleen joined the band. We worked like dogs during the summer of 1982 through to January of 1983. Longshot reunited in 1987 to record "Precious Memories" which was chosen as the City of Timmins' 75th Anniversary song. We also recorded "All My Life" at that session. All songs were written by David Hartt (SOCAN) and arranged by the band. We are all still in touch with each other, good friends, good music, enjoy.
